Extensions, Rewires & Renovations

If you are plannng an extension, rewire or renovation to your home or property, Watt Electrical Services Ltd offer a complete solution to your electrical requirements, our team of highly skilled electricians can complete all required works ensuring your property is safe and conforms to be the current regulations.
In this current climate, most people are choosing to improve their homes, rather than relocate. Weather this means extending around the house or a loft conversion,
the work is extensive and the electrical installation side of this is very involved.
Conversions or extensions wouldn’t necessarily need to be newly rewired where connecting to the existing circuits would be possible. This is normally true if
the existing circuits can be brought up to current standards, which can be easily achieved by fitting RCD protection on these circuits or replacing current fuse
boards, with (BS7671:2008) 17th edition consumer units.
A total rewire involves the rewiring of all circuits, generally, new ring mains to kitchen, ground and 1st floors, lighting circuits to ground and 1st floors, dependant on the size of the property, new cooker and hob circuits and potentially, fridge and freezer circuits, with new earth bonding to gas and water services, full certification should always be provided for any new wiring.
NICEIC Approved Contractor
NICEIC has been assessing the technical competence of electricians for over 50 years. Our aim is to protect everyone who uses
electricity from unsafe electrical installations in their homes, places of work and elsewhere. To achieve this, we maintain a register of qualified, competent
electricians.
We look at a representative sample of the contractor’s work, their premises, documentation, equipment, and the competence of their key supervisory staff.
Once contractors become registered with NICEIC, they are re-assessed on a regular basis to ensure high standards.
